Tamworth Obstetrics & Gynaecology Service is based in Tamworth, North-West NSW. We cater to a wide range of services and needs for all our patients from Gynaecology and Laparoscopy to Infertility and Pelvic Floor Surgery.

Dr. Ken Apen practices at the Tamara Private Hospital as a senior consultant and as a Senior Staff Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Tamworth Hospital. He is Director of the Tamworth Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service (TOGS) where he consults privately.
Dr Apen is a minimally invasive Gynaecological Surgeon with extensive experience in laparoscopy, pelvic floor reconstructive surgery for pelvic floor prolapse, infertility and general Gynaecology, including hysterectomy. He offers a boutique Obstetric practice providing high level care (antenatal, delivery, post delivery) and a range of contraceptive choices in a family friendly facility.
Dr Apen is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Australia and New Zealand (FRANZCOG), as well as the equivalent college in South Africa (FCOG(SA). He sits on a number of committees of RANZCOG. He is a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, the International Urogynaecology Association and a Conjoint Senior Lecturer of the University of Newcastle.
